FAQ:  What are the minimum requirements for joining a fraternity at Villanova?

Answer:  At Villanova University, prospective fraternity members can 'rush' a fraternity at the beginning of the Fall and Spring semesters.  All men -- including freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors -- are encouraged to participate in rushing the fraternities at Villanova in order to meet the men of each, learn a little bit about each organization's values, and then determine which one fits them best.

During the period of Fall Recruitment, once again men of any class year may 'rush' a fraternity; however, only men who have at least a 2.25 cumulative GPA and are at least a 1st semester sophomore are eligible to begin the new member education program (aka 'pledging the fraternity').

Additionally, freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors all are able to 'rush' during Spring Recruitment.  Freshmen who are in their 2nd semester and/or have completed 12 credits or more with at least  a 2.25 cumulative GPA can 'pledge' a fraternity along with the men from other class years.
